It cost £500 to enter which was no barrier for the 150 players who took part. This competition has a total prize pool of £76,000.

The winner of this tournament also gets a seat in a single table play-off tournament against the winners of the previous legs and the winner of that event receives a sponsorship deal that is worth £10,000. This deal means that they will represent Corals in several major events that take place during 2010. There is in interesting twist to this final event: if anyone wins two legs of the British Masters Tour then they get to start with a double chip stack, however this has not occurred this season. It is also possible to qualify for this play off by winning online qualifiers at the Coral Poker website.

The winner of the main event at Bristol was John Gardner from the USA. He is a relatively new player, and his official winnings before this tournament were only $1,508.  In second place was Richard Lewis who in fact walked away with the most money, winning £20,000. In third place was Chris Brice with £16,500. All three of them played in the final hand.

The previous champion, Neil Blatchly finished in eighth place collecting just £1,900. His biggest success in this tour was fourth place in the Nottingham leg which took place in August where he collected £3,900. The only female player to make it to the final table was the well known professional player India Storrar who is currently based in London.  She was the first to be eliminated, collecting £1,600 in the process.
