€600,000 Bad Beat Jackpot Payout by Poker Heaven

The world's largest Bad Beat Jackpot of over €600,000 has been paid out by Poker Heaven.

The Poker Heaven Bad Beat Jackpot is a progressive jackpot that is paid is on special bad beat tables if anyone gets a hand of at least four sixes with four players in the game. The jackpot is split amongst all the players but most of it (35%) goes to the loser. The winner and other players receive 17.5% with the rest split between administration costs and re-seeding the new Bad Beat Jackpot.

This time Lionel Foulquier, an online player from France, starting with pocket eights at the showdown he had extended his hand to four eights only to be beaten by four queens. In anybody’s book this is a really bad beat, but not if it wins a top prize of €210,000 which, thanks to Poker Heaven, it did.

Foulquier has been playing online at Poker Heaven for only a few months. He says that he was attracted by a number of aspects of the site which included a generous sign-up bonus, large jackpots and monthly rake tournaments. This strategy paid off for him. When his four eights were beaten he suddenly realised that he might have won the jackpot and left the table to investigate. Naturally all the other players were also pleased as they too have won a generous share of the prize money. Foulquier has said that he will use his money to purchase a new home.

Following this record payout, the Bad Beat Jackpot was reset to €120,000, though it is growing every minute.
