Formula One boss Bernie Ecclestone was the winner of the bwin Charity Poker tournament, raising a total of €35,000 to go towards the relief effort for Haiti

In the event in Kitzbühel, Ecclestone saw off competition from a star-studded line-up, including former F1 driver David Coulthard, former Real Madrid manager Bernd Schuster, DJ Ötzi and skiers Marc Girardelli, Marco Büchel and Franz Klammer

Ecclestone took the winning pot of €35,000 (£30,000) which was donated to the charitable initiative "Downhillers for Haiti", raised by the downhill racers participating in the Hahnenkamm races.

"I'm very happy that we can help the victims of the earthquake in Haiti,” said Ecclestone. “I enjoyed the relaxing as well as thrilling atmosphere of the tournament.”
