Durrr Challenge Adds Seventy-Nine Hands

Titan Poker

Another 79 hands of the Durrr Challenge have been played by Tom Dwan and Patrik Antonius. In some ways it hardly seemed worthwhile, after all what is seventy nine compared to the 50,000 that must be played before the winner is declared? Perhaps the intention was to play for longer, and maybe it might have been had there not been a distraction. In fact this distraction was the unexpected appearance of Isiludr1 at the table.

Durrrr had joined the challenge table with blinds of $200/$400 and was awaiting the arrival of his challenger Antonius when, out of the blue, his table was joined by Isiludr1 with £100,000. Was this to be yet another showdown between the enigmatic player from Sweden and Tom Dwan who on previous occasions had lost several million dollars to Isiludr1. It seemed that Dwan had no appetite for another session with Isiludr1 and quickly backed out of the game.

When eventually Tom Dwan and Patrik Antonius were able to play, they played for under twenty minutes during which time Dwan won nearly $22,000 most of which came from a single pot of nearly $65,000. Currently Dwan is winning by $1,414,551 and the total number of hands that have been played is 32,874.

Another possible reason why the session was cut short was exhaustion. During the previous seven days Tom Dwan had played 24,000 hands of online poker cash games during the course of which he won in excess of $800,000.

The Durrrr Challenge has launched a new Freeroll competition in which competitors must predict the ultimate outcome. The objective is to get as close as possible to the final result. Prizes range from $100 to $2,000 and players who are signed up to Titan Poker get double the prize money.
