The talented Brit scooped another $1 million as the tense main event in France; Trickett successfully managed to covert the slight chip lead that he held over his rivals going into the event into yet another victory in his staggering winning streak. In addition to outlasting the five eliminated players in the competition, Trickett also managed to stay tied for first place for virtually all of his time in the tough competition. As remaining four contenders went into Sunday's final showdown, it was was Salman Behbehani who had his nose very slightly in front of the rest of the pack; however, Trickett remained extremely close to his heels at all times. Oleksii Kovalchuck and Ilan Boujenah also put in top class performances to book their places at the finalists table.

This year's Partouche Main Event mirrored the World Series of Poker; it managed to delay it's final event by two months, as the original event to whittle down the competition to its nine finalists was staged back in September of this year.

Despite a fiercely fought back-and-forth competition, it was ultimately Trickett who came out on top of the pile and took home a cool $1 million. Trickett has now amassed more than $6 million in live tournament earnings since beginning his professional career; he is part of the new 'Brit Pack' of poker (which also includes players such as Jake Cody and Chris Moorman), which seems to be having unparalleled success in the global professional poker circuit.
