Top British poker player Jake Cody joins up with PKR

It appears as though British poker players are making their way to the top of the international pile, as yet another top player from the United Kingdom has signed a lucrative new sponsorship deal...

This time it is top young player Jake Cody who has teamed up with leading online poker operator PKR in an impressive new sponsorship agreement; Cody is originally from Rochdale, however, he now lives in Leeds, West Yorkshire. Cody made his name playing at the virtual felt where he enjoyed considerable successes and a sizeable bank roll; he then carried that success on to the live poker circuit, where he has made his name as part of the increasingly successful 'Brit Pack' – a group of talented young British poker players who are carving out an incredibly respected reputation in the international live poker circuit.

Despite being young, Cody has already completed the much coveted 'Triple Crow' of poker titles by taking home the PokerStars EPT Main Event (which earned him 857,000 Euros), the London World Poker Tour title (bagging himself $25,000) and claiming a World Series of Poker bracelet (becoming the youngest player in professional poker history to pull off this impressive feat). As a result of the 23-year-old's achievements to date, he has currently earned himself a whopping $2,800,000 in the live tournament circuit, alongside a reputation as perhaps the most talented young player in the world.
