The Paddy Power 2010 Irish Open takes place between the 2nd and the 5th April in Dublin. The event takes place in the Burlington Hotel, a great place to spend your Easter and battle for a share of the €2,500,000 prize money. The Buy-in is €3,200 + €300 and there are still chances to qualify online at Paddy Power. Satellites will run on Tuesday 30th March at 7.30 pm with a buy in of  €12 and one seat guaranteed and at 8.30pm with a buy in of €100 and two seats guaranteed.  On Wednesday 31st March there is a €12 satellite at 7.30pm with one seat guaranteed and a €300 buy in at 8.30pm with ten seats guaranteed. The first three qualifiers are re-buys, and the fourth one is a Freezeout.

Anybody qualifying through Padypower must agree to wear Paddy Power Poker branded clothes as provided by the firm for the duration of the tournament but that is not really a hardship. There is also a special sole survivor competition with a prize of €100,000. To win you must last longer than all the other Paddy Power Poker qualifiers. The prize if €75,000 cash which is paid in three trenches along with €25,000 reserved for buy ins and expenses for life tournaments in which the winner will represent Paddy Power.

The Irish Open is a highly prestigious tournament. Last year it was won by Christer Johansson who collected the first prize of €600,000. He triumphed over a field of over 700 other players. Kara Scott the glamorous poker playing presenter came in second and collected €312,600.
